The Similan Islands comprise of an archaepelago of 9 islands. Further north is the island of Koh Bon (good for Manta Rays) and Koh Tachat, and further north still, Richelieu Rock (regular Whale Shark sightings!). The region provides without doubt the best diving available in Thailand and there has never been a better operator with regards working around your schedule.
Dive Thailand Similans Liveaboards currently have two options leaving from Phuket daily. The actual liveaboard vessels rarely come back to the mainland. Instead, we taxi you out by speed-boat to wherever your liveaboard is currently situated. The itinerey for a typical schedule is as follows:
FREE Minibus pick-up from hotel (Kata (6am), Karon (6:15am),
or Patong (6:30am))
Journey to Taplamu harbour near Khao Lak - approx 1.5 hours
Speed boat to the Similans - approx 1.5 hours
Arrive at Liveaboard - approx 9:30am to10:00am
