Always ask your dive centre

1) Do you have Insurance?
2) Do you have Recompression Chamber Membership?
3) In the event of an emergency who will pay the fees?
4) Do you have emergency assistance plans, first aid kits, and Oxygen aboard all vessels?
5) What is your safety record?

You can never be too careful when it comes to safety, so we want you to be certain that you are in safe hands as you venture into the sea. The diving industry is well advanced in Thailand, so it is extremely safe and well run and accidents are rare. All of our instructors are fully qualified and due to the quality of their training, Paradise Diving has a 100% safety record.

However, in case there is an emergency, there are excellent medical facilities in the area, including a Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber and an international private hospital on the neighbouring island of Phuket. We are a member of the SSS Recompression Chamber Network, and you will find our dive centre listed as one of the few who go that extra mile for your safety and piece of mind. The SSS Network / Phuket Chamber Facility is an International Divers Alert Network (IDAN) Referral Center and is a member of the Undersea Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), the South Pacific Undersea Medical Society, (SPUMS) and consults with the Diving Emergency Services (DES) of Australia. We also have the recognition of the Dive Operators Club of Thailand (DOCT).

We have large quantities of oxygen and emergency assistance plans for all activities, and access to emergency speedboat services for a rapid delivery to the relevant emergency services.

Responsible Safe Diving Practices

More often than not, the injuries and bad experiences experienced by divers are due to less serious incidents such as close encounters with corals, barnacle encrusted mooring lines, or dangerous aquatic organisms.

Wheeeeee! Look at me!
Oh dear... Sore legs!

We ask all our divers to ensure they wear the protection gear provided and to maintain good buoyancy at all time. We also like to remind people to ensure they have eaten and become fully hydrated before embarking on a trip.

Questions of Medical Fitness for Scuba Diving Activities

We are not allowed to act as physicians with regards advising you if you are fit to dive or not. Please refer to this Medical Waiver well in advance of your departure. If you feel you must answer "YES" to any question then we must advise you to visit your Physician to receive expert advice. If it is decided that you are unlikely to have a problem, ask your Doctor to sign a printed copy of this Physician Waiver form and present it to us upon your arrival. We find it is best to do this at home rather than relying on busy local doctors who do not want to be liable in the even of an accident.
